The Orthotech Carbon Fibre Spring Plate is available in five sizes, two styles – tapered or straight and your choice of rigid or semi rigid to ensure your patients always have a suitable option.
The Carbon Fibre Spring Plate provides stability, controls motion, and distributes pressure evenly across the foot. It is often used to address specific foot conditions such as mid-foot arthritis, plantar plate injuries, turf toe, metatarsalgia, capsulitis, hallux rigidus, hallux limitus, toe walking, Lisfranc injuries, rheumatoid arthritis, Freiberg’s disease, diabetic offloading, amputations and other issues related to mid and forefoot mechanics.
Our Carbon Fibre Spring Plate’s are ultra thin and lightweight, yet strong and rigid, allowing them to provide support without adding significant weight or bulk to the footwear. The spring-like properties of carbon fibre can also help absorb shock and reduce the impact on the foot, providing added comfort during walking or running activities.

STRAIGHT RANGE
The Orthotech Carbon Fibre Spring Plate – Straight Range – is universal and can be used in either the left and right shoe. This range is best suited to footwear where there is a minimal heel pitch.
Available in 5 pre-shaped sizes from XS-XL and in your choice of rigid or semi-rigid.
TAPERED RANGE
Proprietary designed by Orthotech, the Carbon Fibre Spring Plates – Tapered Range – provides the same benefits as the Straight Range, however, it is tapered to accommodate a shoe with a heel pitch. For this reason, these are left or right only. The tapered forefoot mimics a rocker bottom sole to assist with propulsion.
The Tapered range are pre-shaped left or right, available in 4 pre-shaped from S-XL and in your choice of rigid or semi-rigid.
EXAMPLES OF CUSTOM SHAPES
The Orthotech Carbon Fibre Spring Plate’s are easy to grind and shape if you want to modify them, such as creating a Mortons Extension, Gait Plate, etc . If you do not have the facilities to do this in your clinic, Orthotech can customise the Carbon Fibre Spring Plate for you.
